Plato

Plato (429 BC - 348 BC) is a world-renowned Greek philosopher. He was a student of the philosopher Socrates and the philosopher Aristotle was his student.  As such, Plato was the second of the three most influential philosophers in ancient Greece. First Socrates and last Aristotle.  It can be said that they have laid the foundation of western philosophy. Plato is both a mathematician and a philosopher. He founded the first institution of higher learning in the Western world. It was the Academy of Athens.  Plato was a devoted student of Socrates, the immoral death of Socrates had a profound effect on his life. !! 


Born
The exact date of Plato's birth is not known.  Modern experts have come up with ideas through the study of ancient sources Plato was born in Athens, Greece, between 428 and 427 BC.  His father's name was Ariston. According to Diogenes Laertius, Ariston's ancestors were King Codras of Athens and Melanthas, king of Messina. Plato's mother's name was Periktion, whose family ancestor was the famous Athenian jurist and poet Solon. As such, Plato had a special lineage in both their mother and father.  Also, Plato was handsome and healthy. It is said that he was called Plato because of his rectangular shoulders. In addition to his unique devotion to philosophy, he had several qualities. Notably, he gained a great reputation as a soldier and athlete.: !! The family in which Plato was born was particularly conducive to education.


Plato took advantage of this opportunity.  He was able to take advantage of all the opportunities of contemporary education. Like Heraclitus, a famous philosopher, no fixed knowledge of the changing senses is possible. According to Aristotle, Plato became acquainted with this philosophical view at an early age. Plato's life was also influenced by the philosophy of Parmenides and Pythagoras.


Plato and Socrates
 One of the most influential figures in Plato's life was his teacher, Socrates.  The influence of Socrates in his life is very obvious because all the conversations with Socrates were written by Plato.  Socrates had been acquainted with Plato since childhood.  : !!  ►►
